First let me welcome you to Odd Facts .co.uk, the idea of this site is very simple. The biggest user collaboration of facts. Joining in with this is very easy. Sign up, have the password sent to you, login and start. Once logged in you can vote on any fact, voting is a bit different here. If you like a fact vote it as a fact. However should you find a fact that is untrue vote it as a myth.
Really no one wants their facts turned into a myth. In future myths will not have a place in the site and will be removed very quickly. Keep in mind that the Administator can flag users, which is in layman terms a ban.
So the rules as very simple, add facts. Vote for facts you like or find interesting. Vote myth for false facts to drag them down. Do not offence anyone or thing.
So other things that may be of interest to you. You data is safe, all passwords are encrypted. I will not sell or pass on your emails and you are not signing up to any kind of email subscription. Frankly I hate email subscriptions and it would be too much effort to code up an automated subscription that I would not use anyway. Also I can remove your account or modify it for any reason I see fit. What this really means is I can remove anyone that is a threat or causing problems. It also means if I wake up one morning and feel like having a turn around I may rename your username to "Monkey-Muck-Moo", however this is unlikily to happen. Also when you log in I take down your IP Address, this is done automatically on most sites and is done so on this site as well. However to track someone based on time, page views etc. would take me too long. I can spot problem users quicker by having your login IP's next to your username. It is done for your safety, I promise :).
